So I was setting everything up to get Select, Start running this morning and when I set up my e-mail I noticed that just because we stopped, didn’t mean the e-mails didn’t. One e-mail I came across was from a film student out in Los Angeles, California named Zach King (http://www.finalcutking.com). He had e-mailed me with a youtube link to one of his videos and the request that we post it. Wish granted sir! Thanks for sharing the awesome video with us, hope to see more in the future!

I suppose I should probably start this post with an apology… but in all honesty I don’t think that someone can apologize for a seven month long disappearance. The best way I can explain what happened is with two words, those words being: “life happened.” As a lot of you know, our live host Amanda moved to Germany around the time things started to slow down and in time things became busy for her, so she had to take a break, soon after the same started to happen with everyone else and then the biggest hit (for me, personally) was when I lost my job at the end of May. (Between the end of April and the end of May we were still trying to do live shows, but the recorded were slim to none) After losing my job I basically lost all motivation to do anything, it actually took a good three weeks until I actually started looking for more work. But that’s all behind me now, I am employed once again and we’re all coming back together to start the show again. Tomorrow (Friday, September 30th, 2011) Amanda and I will be recording another show, on site and not through Skype (yes she’s back!). So make sure that you keep an eye out this weekend (as early as tomorrow night) for an all new episode: “Episode 45 – Don’t Hate Us For The Hiatus.” Hope you all enjoy, we’ve got a ton to talk about!

Kevin and I had never attended one of these conventions before so this was  first for us… just wanted to let all of you out there know that if you’ve never been to a convention before… you should go. It’s definitely an experience all in itself. Megacon features things such as anime, gaming, comic books, as well as the comic book artists and actors from various movies or shows in gaming/comic/anime pop culture (voice actors included). Just to name a few of the people t hat were at this years Megacon there were: Stan Lee, William Shatner, Michael Dorn, Lou Ferrigno (that man is freaking ginormous…), Jonathan Frakes, Doug Jones, Vic Mignogna, Kevin Sorbo,  and many more… those are just a few that stand out. There were also a large variety of vendors, exhibitors and rooms reserved for LAN gaming, card/board/miniatures gaming and even for you LARPers out there, there was room for that as well. I really don’t have too much that I want to say here, because I want there to be plenty to listen to on the show this Tuesday. But until then you can head on over to the Megacon page and check out a few of the photos that we took. Sorry there are so few and that the quality is so grainy… this being our first con I wasn’t sure if I could bring the good equipment or not and we were limited on time.  Hope you all enjoy the few pictures and we’ll see ya next week!
